Transfer Facebook Page Ownership

To transfer Facebook page ownership, you must first be logged in and have administrative access to the page. Then, go to the page's Settings and navigate to Page Access or Page Roles to add the new owner as an Admin with full control. After the new owner accepts the invitation and gains full control, you can remove your own access from the page to complete the ownership transfer.

Here are the steps to transfer a Facebook page to another person:

  1. Switch to the page: you want to transfer from your personal profile.
  2. Click on Settings in the page's menu.
  3. Find and click on Page Access or Page Roles.
  4. Click on Add New to invite a new person.
  5. Enter the name or email of the person you want to add.
  6. Select them from the list and make sure to grant them Full Control by toggling the option on.
  7. Click Give Access and confirm the action, possibly by entering your password.
  8. The invited person will receive a notification or email to accept the invitation.
  9. Once they accept and gain full control, you can then remove your own access to the page. Either you or the new owner can remove the old owner's access from the Page Access section.

Important Considerations:

  • The new owner must accept the invitation within 31 days for it to be valid.
  • Ensure the new owner has a verified Facebook account, as this is sometimes a requirement for them to accept ownership.
