Set Up Inbox Email Alerts (Daily Digest)

Overview

Inbox Email Alerts send you a daily digest summarizing new comments and reviews across your connected social accounts. Instead of checking Social Cascade throughout the day, you get one email with counts of new activity so you can decide when to respond.

Daily digests are available to team Admins on all paid plans. Each admin configures their own preferences per team.

Before You Start

  • Make sure at least one social account is connected in Team Settings > Social Accounts.
  • Your team needs an active inbox with comment or review syncing enabled (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube).
  • You must have the Admin role on the team to access notification settings.

How to Set Up Email Alerts

  1. Open Account Settings from your avatar menu.
  2. Select Notifications in the left sidebar. (If you don’t see this option, confirm you have the Admin role on the team.)
  3. Use the team selector to choose which team you want to configure.
  4. Toggle on the alert types you want to receive (see Available Alert Types below).
  5. Set your preferred digest time — the hour of day you’d like to receive the email, shown in your team’s timezone.
  6. Optionally, click Send Test Email to preview what the digest looks like (limited to 3 test emails per hour).

You can also reach this page from the Inbox page, where a banner invites you to set up alerts if you haven’t configured them yet.

Available Alert Types

Alerts are organized by platform and category. Toggle them individually or use the platform-level All switch.

Tip: Click Enable Recommended to turn on Negative comments and Negative reviews across all supported platforms at once — a good starting point if you’re unsure what to monitor.

What the Digest Email Contains

  • A greeting and the date covered by the digest.
  • Counts grouped by platform and event type (for example, “Facebook — Negative comments: 3”).
  • A total event count across all platforms.
  • A View Your Inbox button that opens your team’s Inbox page directly.

The email includes counts only — individual comment or review text is not included in the digest for privacy and brevity.

When Emails Are Sent

  • At most once per day, at the hour you chose, in your team’s timezone.
  • Only if there are new events since your last digest that match your enabled alert types.
  • If nothing new matches your preferences, no email is sent that day.

How to Unsubscribe

Every digest email includes an Unsubscribe link in the footer. Clicking it disables all alert preferences for that team and stops future digest emails. You can re-enable alerts at any time from Settings > Notifications.

Troubleshooting

Issue Cause Fix
I don’t see Notifications in Settings Your role on the team is not Admin. Ask a team Admin to upgrade your role in Team Settings > Team Members.
I’m not receiving digest emails No new events matched your enabled alert types since the last digest, or your email address is not set on your account. Confirm at least one alert type is toggled on and that your account has a valid email address.
Send Test Email is disabled You’ve sent 3 test emails in the last hour, or no alert types are enabled. Wait an hour and try again, or enable at least one alert type first.
Digest arrives at the wrong time The digest time is based on your team’s timezone (derived from your team address). Confirm your team’s address is set correctly in Team Settings, then adjust the digest hour.

FAQ

Q: Can I get instant notifications instead of a daily digest?

A: Not yet. The current version sends one summary email per day. Real-time notifications may be added in a future release.

Q: Does each team member get their own digest?

A: Yes. Each admin configures their own preferences independently. Two admins on the same team can receive digests at different times with different alert types enabled.

Q: Are direct messages included?

A: Not in the current version. The digest covers comments and reviews only.
