Deleting Instagram Posts

3rd party applications like Social Cascade are not able to delete posts on Instagram. Fortunately, deleting a post on Instagram is a quick and straightforward process. Here is how you can do it depending on the device you are using:

On the Mobile App (iOS & Android)

1. Open the Instagram app and tap your profile picture in the bottom right corner to go to your grid.
2. Scroll to find the post you want to remove and tap on it to open.
3. Tap the three dots (⋮  on Android or ⋯  on iOS) in the top right corner of the post.
4. Select Delete from the pop-up menu (it is usually written in red).

5. Tap Delete one more time to confirm your choice.

   
   

On a Computer (Web Browser)

1. Go to Instagram.com and click on your profile picture or Profile in the left-hand menu.
2. Click on the post you want to delete.
3. Click the three dots (⋯ ) in the top right corner of the post's pop-up window.
4. Click Delete.

5. Confirm by clicking Delete again.

   
   

Quick Tip: Archiving vs. Deleting > If you just want to hide the post from your profile without permanently losing the photo, likes, and comments, you can choose Archive from that same three-dot menu instead of Delete. Archived posts are only visible to you and can easily be put back on your public profile later.
