How to delete a Facebook post that has already been posted
If a post has already been published to Facebook, you can remove it in two ways: from Social Cascade or directly on Facebook.
Option 1: Delete from Social Cascade (Calendar)
On desktop (calendar view):
- Open Calendar in Social Cascade (left navigation) at app.socialcascade.co
- Find the post.
- Click the post to open it. The window title will say “Post Content”.
- Click the red Delete button at the bottom of the window.
- The next prompt dialog presents with options such as “Remove post for now” or “Remove post and do not schedule again.” Select the desired action and click the Delete button.
- The post is removed from your calendar, and we remove it from Facebook.
Option 2: Delete the post directly on Facebook
On Facebook in a browser (computer):
- Go to facebook.com and log in.
- Open your profile or your Facebook Page (depending on where the post was published).
- Find the post you want to remove.
- Click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner of that post.
- Click “Move to Recycle bin” (or “Delete”, if shown) and confirm.
- The post is moved to your Recycle bin and is permanently deleted after 30 days. To delete it immediately, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Your Facebook information → Activity log → Recycle bin, find the post, click the three dots, and choose Delete.
On the Facebook mobile app:
- Open the Facebook app and go to your profile or Page.
- Find the post.
- Tap the three dots (⋯) on the post.
- Tap “Delete” (or “Move to Recycle bin”) and confirm by tapping “Delete Post” (or equivalent).
