Managing Scheduled YouTube Shorts

Overview

You can change or remove Shorts that are still scheduled. Once a Short has published to YouTube, Social Cascade cannot delete or edit it on YouTube—manage the live video in YouTube Studio or the YouTube app, similar to Instagram and TikTok limitations for published content. Most Shorts are published from Social Cascade Teleprompter; the same rules apply after they go live.

Reschedule or Delete a Scheduled Short

  1. Open Calendar in Social Cascade.
  2. Select the scheduled YouTube post.
  3. To reschedule, edit the date and time and save.
  4. To cancel, delete the scheduled post if the product allows removal for scheduled items.

After a Short Is Published

  • Deletion: Remove the video in YouTube Studio if you must take it down.
  • Editing metadata: Use YouTube Studio for title, description, and visibility changes after publish.

Why Social Cascade Cannot Delete Published Shorts

Platform APIs restrict how third-party tools remove published videos. Our integration follows those rules—your calendar may reflect history even after you delete in YouTube.

Troubleshooting

Issue What to try
Delete button disabled for a posted Short Delete in YouTube Studio; treat like Instagram/TikTok published posts.
Short still on YouTube after deleting in Social Cascade If it already posted, remove it in YouTube Studio instead.
