Scheduling and Publishing YouTube Shorts

Overview

YouTube Shorts today are designed to flow from the Social Cascade Teleprompter app: record your Short there, then choose Post now or Schedule so Social Cascade can publish to your connected channel. This keeps capture, processing, and publishing in one workflow.

Publishing from Social Cascade Teleprompter

  1. Record your Short using the teleprompter app.
  2. On the post draft screen, select YouTube (Shorts).
  3. Add caption and confirm platforms.
  4. Choose Post now or Schedule. If you publish soon after recording, the system may schedule your publish slightly in the future (about 20 minutes) instead of instantly—the video must upload to YouTube through our publishing partner first.

Scheduling lead times

Post now from the teleprompter uses a short built-in delay so the video file can be processed and uploaded—if a publish fails, try scheduling farther out.

If you schedule from the teleprompter for a specific date and time, allow comfortable lead time before go-live so processing can finish.

Web app calendar

Some teams may see YouTube Shorts on calendar posts when eligible video is attached. If Shorts do not appear or publishing fails, use the teleprompter workflow above—that remains the supported path for Shorts.

Processing time

Third-party Shorts publishing uploads your video file to YouTube. Very tight schedules can fail—leave extra time for large files or slow networks.

Troubleshooting

Issue What to try
Failure right after connecting YouTube Wait longer before the scheduled publish time and retry; confirm the media URL is reachable.
Publishing failed when timing was very soon Schedule at least ~20 minutes ahead (or more for large videos).
