Adding On-Screen Captions to Your Videos
Overview
You can burn stylish, time-synced captions into the final video file and include your team logo. This is ideal for silent autoplay on social feeds and consistent branding.
Before You Start
- Follow your script closely while recording — captions are built from transcription and work best when you stick to the script.
- Expect longer server processing when captions are enabled (see the video processing article).
How to enable captions and pick a style
- On Post Draft, find Add captions & logo.
- Read the description: spoken words are transcribed into on-screen captions; your team logo can be added automatically.
- Turn the switch on.
- Tap Caption Style to open the style picker (categories such as Trending, Bold, Minimal, and Creative).
- Select a preset; you’ll return to Post Draft with that style applied.
- Continue with Post Now, Schedule, or Save to My Stream.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Captions look wrong | Off-script ad-libbing | Re-record following the teleprompter, or disable captions for that take. |
| Processing takes longer | Transcription + render | Wait on the processing screen; times vary by video length and load. |
FAQ
Q: Is this the same as platform closed captions?
A: These captions are burned into the video pixels so they appear everywhere the video plays, independent of each platform’s caption settings.
