Manage your Brand Kit

Your Brand Kit stores your practice's visual identity, voice, providers, and locations in one place. Social Cascade uses this information to keep your content on-brand and to help generate captions that sound like your practice.

Where to find Brand Kit

  1. Sign in to app.socialcascade.co.
  2. Open Account Settings from your avatar menu.
  3. Select Brand Kit in the left sidebar.

If you belong to more than one location (team), use the team selector at the top of the page to switch between Brand Kits.

Who can edit Brand Kit

Only team Admins can edit Brand Kit settings. Other team members can view the Brand Kit but cannot save changes.

Brand Kit completeness

A progress bar at the top of the page shows your Brand Kit completeness score (0–100%). The score is based on five core items:

  • Primary color
  • Logo
  • At least one provider
  • At least one location
  • Tagline

Below the progress bar you'll see a list of any missing items so you know exactly what to fill in next.

Build your Brand Kit from your website

Brand detection scans your practice website and automatically fills in colors, logo, typography, voice, providers, and locations.

  1. Enter or confirm your practice website URL on the Brand Kit page. Your website URL is saved to your team details automatically when you type it in.
  2. Click Build brand kit from website (first time) or Update brand from website (subsequent runs). Detection runs in the background; the page refreshes automatically when it finishes.
  3. A 24-hour cooldown applies between detection runs. If you need to override manual edits and start fresh, click Replace with website data to force a full re-detect regardless of the cooldown.

Auto-save: When you click Replace with website data, Social Cascade automatically saves any unsaved edits to your current Brand Kit before starting the replacement. You won't lose in-progress work.

Edit your Brand Kit

Colors

Click the edit icon in the Colors section, pick primary, secondary, and accent colors using the color picker, then click Save.

Custom Brand Colors

Beyond the three core colors (Primary, Secondary, Accent), you can add up to 5 custom brand colors to capture your full brand palette — for example, your brand's gold, navy, or highlight green.

  1. In the Colors section, click the Edit (pencil) icon.
  2. Below the Primary / Secondary / Accent pickers, click "Add color."
  3. For each custom color:
    • Optionally type a Color name (up to 30 characters). If you leave it blank, the hex code is shown instead.
    • Pick a hex color using the color picker.
  4. To remove a custom color, click its delete icon.
  5. Click Save when you are done.

In view mode, custom colors appear in a second row below the core three, each showing its label (or hex) and a copy-hex button.

Important notes about custom colors:

  • The maximum is 5 custom colors (8 total including Primary, Secondary, and Accent).
  • Custom colors are manual only — website brand detection does not auto-fill them.
  • Custom colors do not count toward the Brand Kit completeness score.
  • You can use custom colors in your poster brand color picker and poster footer swatches (see Customizing Your Poster Design).

Logo

Upload a PNG, JPG, or WebP logo. For best results across posters and videos, use a high-resolution image (1 000 px or wider recommended). A quality badge shows whether your logo meets the recommended resolution.

Voice profile

Adjust the formality, warmth, and confidence sliders (1–5), then save. You can also set:

  • Reading level and perspective (dropdown selects)
  • Tone keywords — short descriptors that shape AI-generated copy
  • Tagline and value proposition

Providers

Add or edit providers shown in your brand profile. Each provider needs a name; credentials, role, bio, and headshot URL are optional.

Locations

Add practice locations with an address. You can include phone, office hours, and links to scheduling, patient portal, or telehealth pages for each location.

Practice website

Your practice website URL is stored in your team details and used for brand detection. It is saved automatically when you enter or update it on the Brand Kit page — no separate save button required.

Practice details (content signals)

List specialties, languages, insurance plans, and about text (one item per line). These help Social Cascade understand what your practice offers so generated content stays relevant.

Practice Focus

The Practice Focus section of Brand Kit shows which medical or professional specialties your team practices. These selections determine which scripts, content streams, and AI recommendations are available.

  • Admins see a checkbox grid and can add or remove specialties. Click Save changes to apply.
  • Other team members see the currently selected specialties as read-only tags.

For a full guide on choosing specialties and understanding their impact, see Choosing Your Practice Focus.

Troubleshooting

Issue Cause Fix
Build brand kit from website button is disabled No website URL is saved for your team. Enter your practice website URL in the field at the top of the Brand Kit page. It saves automatically.
Detection stays queued for more than a few minutes The website may be unreachable or blocking automated requests. Verify the URL loads in a browser. If it does, contact support@socialcascade.co.
Cannot save changes You are not a team Admin. Ask a team Admin to update your role in Team Settings > Team Members.
Logo upload fails The file exceeds the size limit or is not a supported format. Use a PNG, JPG, or WebP file within the size limit shown in the uploader.
Old text reappears after clearing a field The field wasn't fully cleared before saving. Clear the field completely and click Save again. Empty optional fields are removed from your profile.
Colors look different from my website Detection extracts the dominant colors it finds on your site, which may differ from your official brand palette. Edit the colors manually using the color picker to match your preferred palette.
No "Add color" link appears You are not in edit mode, or you already have 5 custom colors. Click the Edit icon on the Colors section. If you already have 5 custom colors, remove one before adding another.
Custom color label shows hex code instead of a name No label was entered for that color. Edit the color and type a name (up to 30 characters).

FAQ

Q: How often can I re-run brand detection?

A: You can update from your website once every 24 hours. If you need an immediate refresh, use Replace with website data to override the cooldown.

Q: Will detection overwrite my manual edits?

A: A normal re-run (Update brand from website) merges detected data with your existing profile. Replace with website data performs a full overwrite — but your current edits are auto-saved first.

Q: What does the completeness score affect?

A: A higher score means Social Cascade has more context to generate on-brand content. It doesn't block any features, but a complete profile produces better AI-generated captions and scripts.

Q: Does website detection fill in custom colors?

A: No. Custom colors are manual only. Detection fills in the core three colors (Primary, Secondary, Accent). Add custom colors by clicking "Add color" in edit mode.

Q: What happens to poster colors if I delete a custom color?

A: If a deleted custom color was assigned as a poster footer color, the footer falls back to your Primary color. Re-select a footer color in Settings → Posters if needed.
