Managing Your Settings

Overview

The Settings screen is where you manage your profile, practice information, script preferences, voice training, and account. Open it from the menu on the My Scripts screen.

Profile

  1. Open Settings from the menu on My Scripts.
  2. Under Profile, update your Name / Identifier — this is how the app addresses you and may appear in generated scripts (for example, “Hi, I’m Dr. Smith”).
  3. Changes save automatically when you leave the field.

Practice Info

  1. Under Practice Info, you can update:
    • Practice Name
    • Phone Number
    • Website
  2. This information may be referenced when Script Support generates or refines a script (for example, including your phone number in a call-to-action).
  3. If you are a team admin, you’ll also see a toggle: Use your practice’s website for context. When enabled, Script Support can reference your website content when drafting scripts for your team.

Script Preferences

  1. Under Script Preferences, choose a Default Length for generated scripts: Short, Medium, or Long.
  2. This sets the target length when Script Support drafts a new script. You can always edit the result afterward.

Voice Training

Voice training helps Script Support match your natural speaking style. For full details, see Voice Training for Personalized Scripts.

  1. Under Voice Training, tap to expand the section.
  2. You’ll see a list of your existing voice samples (if any).
  3. To add a sample, choose a suggested topic or enter your own, then record yourself speaking naturally.
  4. To remove a sample, tap the delete icon next to it.
  5. You can store up to 20 samples. Three or more are enough for strong personalization.

Account

  • Tap About to see the app version and support links.
  • Tap Sign Out to log out. You’ll be returned to the sign-in screen. Your local takes remain on the device but won’t be accessible until you sign back in.

Troubleshooting

Issue Cause Fix
Website context toggle not visible You are not a team admin Only admins can control this setting. Ask your team admin to enable or disable it.
Changes don’t seem to save Network issue or app was force-closed Reopen Settings and verify your changes. The app saves when you leave each field.
Voice sample won’t record Microphone permission denied Enable microphone for Teleprompter in your device Settings.
“Limit Reached” for voice samples 20 samples stored Delete a sample you no longer need, then add a new one.

FAQ

Q: Will signing out delete my recordings?

A: No. Local takes stay on your device. When you sign back in with the same account, they’ll be available again.

Q: Can I change my team from Settings?

A: Team switching is done from the header on My Scripts, not from Settings. See Switching Teams in the Teleprompter App.
