Working with Streams

Streams are curated collections from trusted organizations. Follow an organization to auto-subscribe to its topics, and subscribe/unsubscribe to individual topics any time.

How to navigate

• Desktop: Left sidebar > Streams.
• Mobile: Open the sidebar from the header, then tap Streams.
• Subsections: At the top of Streams pages you may see links like Available Streams, My Streams, My Content, My Media.

Available Streams

• Search: Use the search box at the top (e.g., “Mental Health”, “CDC”).
• Organizations list: Each org shows its name, description, and a “Topics” section.
• New content: A small “New” badge appears when an org/topic has recent items.

Follow vs Subscribe

• Follow an organization: Adds all of that org’s current topics and auto-adds any future topics as they’re released.
• Unfollow an organization: Stops auto-adding future topics (your current topic subscriptions stay as they are).
• Subscribe to a topic: Adds just that single topic.
• Unsubscribe from a topic: Removes just that topic (other topics remain).

Following an organization

• Path: Sidebar > Streams > pick an organization
• Action: Click Follow (to the right of the organization name). It changes to Followed.
• Unfollow: Click Followed to open a confirmation dialog and confirm Unfollow.

Subscribing to topics

• From the org panel (quick): In the org’s “Topics” grid, click the small round icon on a topic card:
• Empty circle = not subscribed; checkmark = subscribed.
• From the topic modal (detailed):
• Click a topic card to open its modal.
• Use the Subscribe / Subscribed button at the top to toggle.
• Scheduling note: Some topics include weekday limits (e.g., “Posts scheduled on Mon, Wed”). Subscribed posts appear in your Scheduled Posts and Calendar according to these settings.

Viewing topic content

• Open: Click a topic card to open the modal.
• What you see: A media preview carousel, caption, and supported platform icons.
• Other topics: Scroll within the modal to see additional topics from the same org and manage subscriptions there too.
• Subscriber count: Public orgs display a subscriber count in the modal.

My Streams, My Content, My Media

• My Streams: Shows only the topics you’re currently subscribed to.
• My Content / My Media: Access items you’ve saved or created (when available) for reuse across posts.

Private streams (organization-only)

• Some streams are created specifically for your organization. These may not show Follow/Subscribe controls and are managed by your org.

Tips

• Search first: Start with the search bar to quickly find relevant orgs or topics.
• Manage in bulk: Follow an org to auto-get new topics; prune any you don’t want by unsubscribing individual topics.
• See outcomes: Subscribed content appears on your Overview > Scheduled Posts and in the Calendar for scheduling and edits.
