Getting Started with the Teleprompter App
Overview
Teleprompter by Social Cascade helps you record polished short-form videos with an on-screen script, optional on-video captions, and publishing to your team’s connected social accounts — all from your phone or tablet.
New: Record from your browser! Teams on Pro and Premier plans can also record directly from the web app using the Web Teleprompter. No app install required — just click Teleprompter in the web app sidebar.
Before You Start
- Install the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- You need an email on file with a Social Cascade account to sign in (see our sign-in article).
- For recording, the app needs camera and microphone access (you can adjust this later in your device Settings).
How to complete first-time onboarding
- When you open the app for the first time, you’ll see five swipeable screens: Welcome (what patients call you), Your Practice Info, Voice Training (optional speech samples to personalize scripts), Camera & Microphone, and You’re All Set!
- Swipe horizontally between screens, or use Next at the bottom.
- On the Camera & Microphone step, tap Allow & Continue to request camera and microphone permissions.
- On the last screen, tap Get Started to finish.
- You can tap Skip (top) at any time to skip the tour and go straight to your scripts.
Troubleshooting

| I don’t see onboarding again | It only shows once per install | That’s expected. Open My Scripts to continue working. |

FAQ
Q: What devices are supported?
A: The mobile app works on iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets. On iPad, some screens use a two-column layout and sheet-style modals. Teams on Pro or Premier plans can also use the Web Teleprompter on any desktop or laptop with a webcam.
