Best Practices and Account Health Score

Overview

The Best Practices page helps your team get the most out of Social Cascade by tracking your progress through 14 setup and promotion steps. An Account Health Score on your Overview gives you a quick 0–100 rating of how fully your team has adopted the platform, and the full checklist breaks down exactly what to do next.

Before You Start

  • Best Practices is available to all teams on any plan.
  • Any team member can view the checklist. Only Admin and Editor roles can check off the self-reported steps.

How to Open Best Practices

  1. Click Best Practices in the left sidebar under Settings.
  2. You can also reach it from the Overview page by clicking Improve your score on the Account Health widget, or View all best practices on the checklist widget.

Account Health Score

Your Account Health Score appears on the Overview page as a circular gauge. It ranges from 0 to 100 and is based on how many of the 14 best practices your team has completed.

Score Range Tier
0–29 Getting Started
30–59 Building
60–89 Strong
90–100 Excellent

Steps that Social Cascade can detect automatically (like connecting social accounts or uploading your logo) count more toward your score than self-reported steps.

The 14 Best Practices

The checklist is divided into three sections. Steps marked Auto are detected automatically by Social Cascade. Steps marked Self-reported require you to check them off manually.

Draft Emails

Once you have connected social accounts and set up your Link in Bio, the Best Practices page provides ready-to-use draft emails you can copy and send to your staff or patients. These emails help spread the word about your social media presence and encourage engagement.

Overview Widgets

Two widgets appear on your team Overview page:

  • Account Health Score — Shows your score, tier label, and a link to improve it.
  • Best Practices Checklist — Shows the top 5 incomplete steps. You can dismiss the widget, and it hides automatically when all 14 steps are complete.

Troubleshooting

Issue Cause Fix
An auto-detected step shows as incomplete even though I completed it Auto-detected steps refresh periodically (about once per hour) or after related actions. Try completing the action again (e.g., re-upload your logo), then refresh the page. The status will update within an hour.
I cannot check off a self-reported step Your team role is Viewer, which has read-only access. Ask a team Admin or Editor to check it off, or have your Admin upgrade your role.
My score seems low even though I completed many steps Auto-detected steps (like connecting accounts) are weighted more heavily than self-reported steps. Focus on completing the auto-detected steps first for the biggest score improvement.

FAQ

Q: Does my health score affect my account or features?

A: No. The health score is purely informational and helps you track adoption progress. It does not gate any features or affect your subscription.

Q: Can I reset a self-reported step?

A: Yes. Click the checkbox again to uncheck it. Your score will update accordingly.
