Connecting Social Profiles

Link your organization’s social accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) to publish and track performance from Social Cascade.

How to navigate

  • Avatar menu: Click your avatar (top-right) > Account Settings.
  • Team selector: At the top of Settings, select the team you want to connect profiles to.
  • Open section: In the right pane under team settings, find the Social Profiles section.

Tip: From the Overview page, click the Manage link next to “Social Profiles” to jump into Settings. If no profiles are connected yet, you may see big buttons like “Connect Facebook” or “Connect Instagram” on the Overview screen.

Connect a new profile

  • Open Social Profiles: In Team Settings, locate the “Social Profiles” header.
  • Add: Click the plus icon (Add Social Profile) or a “Connect Facebook/Instagram” button.
  • Choose platform: Select the social platform to connect.
  • Sign in: You’ll be redirected to the platform to log in with an account that manages your business Page/profile.
  • Allow permissions: Approve all requested permissions so posting and analytics work correctly.
  • Return to Social Cascade: You’ll be redirected back; the profile appears in your Social Profiles list.
  • If it doesn’t show: In the Social Profiles footer, click Refresh (look for “Missing social profiles? Refresh”).

Roles and access

  • Who can connect: Typically only team Admins see the Add/Connect controls in Social Profiles.
  • Platform roles: Ensure you’re an Admin on the Facebook Page/Instagram Business account you’re connecting.

Troubleshooting

  • Check your role: Confirm you have Admin access on the Page/profile and Admin access to the team in Social Cascade.
  • Grant all permissions: If you denied any permission during connect, remove the app on the platform and try again, accepting all prompts.
  • Refresh: Use the Social Profiles Refresh action if the connection completed but profiles aren’t visible yet.
  • Try another browser session: Clear cache/cookies or use a private window.
  • Ayrshare help: Social Cascade uses Ayrshare to manage connections. Their help documentation is a great resource for technical issues. Visit their Technical Support page for platform-specific troubleshooting tips.
